National Police Chief Gen. Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo and TNI Commander Admiral TNI Yudo Margono led a rally to hold the 43rd ASEAN High Level Conference (KTT) Security Forces at Silang Monas, Jakarta, Friday, to check the readiness of securing the international agenda.
The troop roll call is the final series of security preparations for the 43rd ASEAN Summit, namely the TNI deployed a joint security task command (Kogasgab PAM) of 13,158 joint security personnel, while the National Police deployed 6,182 personnel in the 2023 Tri Brata Jaya Operation.
TNI Commander Admiral TNI Yudo Margono as inspector of the troop title ceremony in his mandate said that this troop title was a form of commitment of the Indonesian security forces in securing the implementation of the 43rd ASEAN Summit in Jakarta.
“Checking is not just a formality, it is a form of commitment before carrying out tasks,” said Yudo.
Yudo emphasized that the 43rd ASEAN Summit in Jakarta was different from the ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo, NTT. Because it was attended not only by the leaders of ASEAN countries but also by the leaders of ASEAN partner countries.
The 43rd ASEAN Summit was attended by 19 state leaders, including ASEAN partner countries.
The TNI and Polri have succeeded in demonstrating their capacity in securing the G-20 Summit in Bali in 2022 and the ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo, NTT.
Therefore, Yudo reminded all personnel involved to jointly demonstrate Indonesia’s strength in securing international events.
“Success and success not only impacts the reputation of security officers but the reputation of Indonesia’s name in the international arena,” said Yudo.
Yudo also mandated TNI personnel to maintain solidity and synergy with the National Police and other security officers. By putting aside sectoral egos, and strengthening communication and coordination.
In line with the Commander in Chief, National Police Chief Gen. Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo also reminded his personnel to prioritize humane security.
“This security operation is a bet on Indonesia’s security in international eyes, obey the SOP, be humane but firm, stay away from all forms of deviation,” said Sigit.
